Ephemera Vol. 1 Book

Ephemera is a book containing my collection of over 500 vintage labels, tins, boxes and more. I began collecting these items for two reasons - inspiration and preservation. Design, lettering and illustration from the past have been a big inspiration for my work as a designer and illustrator. The creativity and attention to detail throughout these items is something that is often overlooked today. Most of these items were meant to be short-term vessels for their contents and then discarded, but the beauty of the packaging outlasted the use. Although it began as such, Ephemera is much more than an inspiration and reference book for designers, it is another way of documenting and preserving these items so we may continue to enjoy their beauty.
